I have searched through a lot of new age/nature tracks and this is my favorite. My main goal was to find something I could turn up really loud on my ipod to drown out snoring and other noises for sleeping. I have since found myself listening while reading and other activities because it is so good.
I liked this one because not only is rain realistic but it's recorded well. By that I mean I have heard lots of background noises like talking, television, cars, and doors on the cheaper tracks. Also, other tracks have loud thunder and/our birds and/or music that are fine when listening for relaxation but for me when trying to drown noises for sleeping those excess sounds can jostle you out of sleep or even startle.
So if you are looking for a track that is mostly just rain (there is some soft thunder) I recommend this one. -- My Favorite Nature Track
Living in a place where it doesn't rain very much is hard when you love the sound of rain. I love listening to this while I'm working, it is so relaxing, I sometimes get goosebumps listening and imagining the rain!

I have Tinitis, that maddening ringing in your ears all the time. This album is great for maskng it out. If you keep the volume around the same level as the Tinntis oftentimes I won't hear the tinitis which is such a relief. By listening to this album I am also training myself to not hear the tinnitis which is the only cure.

In the mood for a very well recorded, very cool rainstorm? Here it is. I play it on an endless loop all night long and I sleep like a baby. There's nothing like the sound of rain to lull you off into dreamland as you wrap up nice and cozy in your favorite soft blanket. And, at a mere $0.89*, it's about TEN BUCKS(!) cheaper than it is on iTunes. Let it rain!
